All roads led to Indian Community School, Khaitan, venue of Kala(Art) Kuwait “NIRAM 2016” in Association with “AMERICAN TOURISTER”, Children’s Day Painting Competition on Friday, 11th November 2016. There was a festive air prevailed over and the sunny and serene weather with cool breeze was also a great blessing to the event. A world filled with colours and lines were blooming.
"NIRAM-2016” the popularly known painting competition on the occasion of Children's Day celebration by marking the 127th birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the First Prime Minister of India. Kala(Art) Kuwait is delighted to celebrate 12th Anniversary of “NIRAM” Painting Competition with elegance and glory which is opened for all students of Indian Schools in Kuwait.
There were more than a Total of 2560 entries out of which 2375 children took part in the competitions. Clay Sculpture was also a competition item for the students and the parents were actively participated in the open canvas as well. Various Gift items were distributed to all participants immediately after the competition.
Mr. A. K. Shrivastava, Second Secretary, Indian Embassy Kuwait, inaugurated the program. Kala(Art) Kuwait President K. Jaison Joseph, General Secretary Ragesh P.D., Program General Convener Sunil Kumar, Indian Community School Principal Mr. Gangadhar Shirshad, American Tourister Country Manager Mr. Sujo Francis, Prominent Community Leaders Suresh Mathur, Iqbal Kuttamangalam, Dr. John Art, Aniyankunju Samuel, Muhammed Riyaz, Chesil Ramapuram, K. J. John, Sabu Peter, Kala(Art) Kuwait Officials K. Mohanan, K Sadik, Samkutty Thomas, K. Hassan Koya and Mukesh V. P. were also attended the inaugural function.
Talented Artists Mr. Shemej Kumar, Dr. Geetha Ravindhran, Mr. Nikesh Karunakaran, Mr. Arun and Ms. Anvesha Biswas have made their painting on canvas in Watercolor/Acrylics and all those pairings handed over to the organizers for auction to Kala(Art) charity enterprise, named as Aaswas.
Well Known Artists Sasi Krishahan, Shammy John, John Mavelikkara, Sunil Kulanada, Nikesh & Arun were supervised the competition. More than 100 Volunteers were controlled the program lead by Kala(Art) Kuwait Executive Members Siva Kumar, Rathidas, Aboobacker, Sameer, Johney, Babu, Santhosh, Mustafa, Renuka, Thasleena, Aneecha and Santhosh. Compeering was handled by Haseena Sharaf.
The result of the Competition will be announced by the organizing committee as well as the judging committee on 1st December 2016 through leading newspapers and also websites. Prize Distribution Ceremony will be held at Indian Community School Khaitan on Friday, 23rd December 2016 at 2:30pm.
Kala(Art) Kuwait, announce exclusive prizes for the winners. The first place winners of each groups will receive a Gold coin & Gold medal, second place winner with silver medal and third place winner with bronze medal apart from memento & certificate. Besides the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, places, there will be Merit Prizes and Ten (10) percent of the participants will be awarded with consolation prizes. Apart from the winners, Certificates to all participants in appreciation of their participation in the event will be distributed through respective Schools.
The organizers have expressed their entire satisfaction on the successful completion of the competition and take this opportunity to thank all Children, Parents, Management and Teachers of all Indian schools in Kuwait, Representatives of various Indian socio-cultural organizations in Kuwait and all our Sponsors for their active participation and wholehearted support for making the event as a grant success. Kala(Art) Kuwait has once again proved beyond doubt that it upholds the interests of all Art lovers in Kuwait and will continue its support for promotion of Art (Kala). Students and parents are familiar with 'NIRAM', and they can no longer be deceived, as this is the 12th consecutive year Kala(Art) Kuwait has been successfully conducted this prestigious painting competition on the occasion of Children's day.
A large number of prominent leaders of various Indian socio-cultural organizations, media persons and sponsors were also witnessed the competition.
